So far, I’ve installed my anchor trolley, fish finder and transducer (using pvc pipe and the scupper plug like peatop explained) and moved the far starports closer to the seat. My anchor and sea anchor arrived today which I’m happy about. Only ordered them the other day. Next I will sort my storage ...

Re: New Member
I have picked up my new Yak and pretty happy about it! But, I don’t know where to start.
I have the things to install a anchor trolley, but do I need marine goop for the rivets?

Once I pick the yak up tomorrow, I will have a real good look at it and probably sit in it for a while and see where everything should go and what may work and may not. I’ll try post some photos as I go. Also will practise putting i...

Re: New Member
Thanks guys, once I set it up, I will definitely give you a shout. I was actually thinking about devils bend the other day, just going on there and testing it out. I also want to try the Mt Martha to Davies bay areas for whiting and squid. Picking the yak up probably tomorrow night. Cheers Anthony

Re: New Member
Hi guys, Thanks for the responses and advice. I found a SH maverick pretty cheap, used a couple of times which I have put a deposit down on and will pick it up next week. To start off with, I will be not going to far and on outrageous trips until I get the hang of it and work out my best setup what ...

Re: New Member
Thank you mate, that is really kind of you. I actually did read your posts, both when you chose it and the recent review, so I am not sure why I actually put it down there. I don't need the fastest unit, just something stable and safe for a beginner. I will go down and have a look first and I will m...

Re: New Member
Hi again, Thank you for your responses so far I'm rehashing my old post. I broke my ankle playing a charity game of footy after I posted this, so the kayak shopping went on the back burner. Now I am back and fit, I am looking again. I have looked at a few online https://www.kayaksonline.net/kayaks/f...
