Jay, I think its a rather clever solution to what is obviously an annoying and potentially unsafe set up. :thumbsup: i think that auto defecting to low setting is a double edged sword. If it reset to high when it should be on low then it would be dangerous with potential instability issues, rather ...

Been looking at one for a while - watched plenty of youtube vids and read lots of reviews. I actually bought a Fin-Nor LT60 a few months ago (rather than the Penn), but this one came up for $100 so I couldn't resist. Now all I need is some decent weather so I can get out and use it! Some very clever mods there mate, just a couple of things to perhaps keep in mind: - install a kill switch on a clip so if you come off, the boat won't go walk about - if it is motor powered you will need to have it registered and subsequently be licenced.
