Haven't had her on the bay yet, mainly on Patto lakes. Even on a mildly windy day it tracks well and seems quite stable. A bay trip is on the cards soon.sputnik wrote:Hey there how stable is this yak out in the bay? Would it handle westerport fine?

Re: Flush Mounting Railblaza mounts

Re: Flush Mounting Railblaza mounts
Very nice will the rod holder get in your way or have you checked that out  Cheers Babylon  I'd personally be mounting them up on the sides where there looks to be plenty of room. The centre rod holder will get in the way doing anything but sitting still and neither are nmuch good f...

Flush Mounting Railblaza mounts
Flush mounted a couple of Railblaza mounts in the BigFish, one centre mound for rod holder and one mounted in the centre of the footwell ready for a fish finder when I get round to purchasing and mounting one. I also mounted a deck eye next to each one so as to clip a leash to so nothing gets lost i...

Re: BigFish Beute
Reading back I probably should have posted in "trip reports". so heres an actual review. The BigFish tracked nice and straight and was a breeze to paddle despite my poor paddling skills. was easy to cast from as I did take 1 rod and threw around a soft plastic for a short while(no fish). T...

BigFish Beute
Well it has taken some time but took my new AquaYak BigFish out on the water today and I have to say "Why did I wait so long?". Admittedly I have been a bit gun-shy after the disastrous trip I had with my pervious yak and kept making excuses not to take the big girl out. The BigFish was 10...

Re: it's on again
Well the pimping is all but finished. Have extended the anchor trolley all the way to the stern and added bungie for some forgiveness. replaced the cord over the rear well with heavier bungie and used the lighter cord to make paddle and rod leashes and removed all the railblaza mounts to clean thing...

BigFish Mods
So bought a new yak, got rid of the little black monster on eBay and got $100 more than I paid. Bought a second hand AquaYak Bigfish and have started the pimping. Moved the flag mount to the rear of the Yak, extended the anchor trolley and built a rocket launcher with removable trolling rod holders....
