cast as tight as you can to structure near where they boil, low light is very advantageous, use light fluro leader and quality lures. i really like to use luckycraft Sammy 65s, smith towadis and OSP bent minnows i also use small gurgler flies but that's a whole new level.

i love surface fishing. i use them for trout, redfin, bream, EPs, salmon an anything else that will eat them. as for what i use surface wise there are pretty much only 4 lures. in order of favorites: 1: OSP bent minnow 76 (best lure on the market IMO, expensive though) 2: smith towadi 3: luckycraft ...
