Re: Cobra question...Vs various.

G'day, you're spot on with the Cobra Tourer reviews. Same as yourself-first trip to Melbourne Kayaks (based solely on nearest dealer) and Andrew listens. Went through Fish'n'dive, Prowlers, Pro-Fish and I almost settled on the Marauder. Having been rower, bit of long boarding etc., wanted something ...

Re: Cheap "UHAPI" Kayak Review. (Pic heavy)

G'day Joshua. I was checking the site and noticed your review. I have a Cobra Tourer SoT and much the same as with your process, put it through it's paces bit by bit. When putting on the anchor trolley, I had the feeling (and later confirmed), that the safest length is from stern to mid point-going ...

Cobra Tourer

Had the Cobra Tourer for 2 summers and it's a fast, stable yak. As a long, thin yak it is surprisingly stable with serious wind chop, and rides the swells perfectly. No hint of broach when beaching despite 2 foot waves. Doesn't have the primary stability of OK prowlers or Hobies. Any owners of Toure...

winter wetsuit for SOT yak

Hi,
have considered 3/2 steamer, 3mm spearo, 2 peice long-john/dive top or combo of the above. Good for winter yak with no immersion/good for spring/summer diving/spearo.

steamer or 2 piece?

fish finders-seeking advice

Hi all, had the Cobra Tourer for 6 months or so and got the feel of a reasonably narrow Yak (being ex-rower comes in handy with the balancing). Got caught in a SW change off Mt. Eliza blown home faster than I could paddle. Have rigged anchor line, rod holders, made scupper trolley and generally lear...

yak at last

Hi, gradually obtained yak, from planned Fish'n'Dive to Cobra Tourer. Focus is on yaks, yak-fishing, yak-spearing and diving with camera. Have surfed (mini-mals), rowed and spearfished; am finding all useful but a Yak is a different critter. Taken the Tourer out off Mt. Martha/Mornington 1/2 dozen t...

sail for fish'ndive

Any info on sails for Cobra Fish'ndive appreciated. Is it strucurally and practically realistic? What holes have to be drilled?
