Re: One option for loading a kayak onto a 4WD

Thanks for sharring Neil, I've got an xtrail and outback too!
Thinking about getting a similar setup but just wondering does it scrape the bottom much using this method? Or not too bad?

Cheers,

Personally I wouldn't transport 2 on the roof due to the weight issue and the amount of lift you would get from having two non aerodynamic long kayaks loaded. Sure you'll be under the payload but i'd hate to see the flex...

Re: Ghurkin's motor job

That's the negative of most 100 amp hour batteries. Mine weighs 30 kg! I think different brands vary from 27 to 32 kilograms. Have a look at the everybattery website. They review most brands. Re: Ghurkin's motor job

A full days fishing and my sounders suck more than that...I run a lowrance x4 sonar and a x4DSI.(they didn't make an all in one at the time)[/quote] Matt is running a 12 volt 100 ah battery in his boat. I'm guessing you have like a 7.2 to 9 ah battery in the kayak. They are both classed as 12 volt b...

Re: Ghurkin's motor job

You either never used it or you have your numbers wrong... .3 of a volt  Excuse the ignorance, but is .3v lots or eff all? The sounder read 12.7v when we started, 12.4v when we finished up that night. Remember that this wasn't continuous use, just button pushing for 5-10 seconds to move down...
