Re: Innkjet Printers
I'm sure the manufacturers see home printing hardware primarily as a vehicle for selling consumables... they make their money by selling the ink. For my next printer purchase I plan to bite the bullet and buy a colour laser printer. I reckon it will be cheaper in the long run. As a matter of compari...

Re: Marine VHF Radio Operators Handbook
I've got a pair of UHFs (not waterproof) and I've been thinking about getting a waterproof VHF marine band. How many yackers use radios on PPB? How useful are they? The safety factor is my main concern. And thanks for the post, BKA.

Re: Joke thread
I couldn't resist posting this... A far more accurate account of the events of that fateful morning.... Baby bear goes downstairs, sits in his small chair at the table. He looks into his small bowl. It is empty. 'Who's been eating my porridge?' he squeaks.. Daddy Bear arrives at the big table and s...

Re: Joke thread
The priest in a small Irish village loved the rooster and ten hens he kept in the hen house behind the church. One Sunday morning, before mass, he went to feed the birds and discovered that the cock was missing. He knew about cock fights in the village, so he questioned his parishioners in church. D...

A fly rod is too damned awkward to cast from the yak... must practice more. Anyw...

Since I was a kid in primary school, peanut butter, tomato and lettuce on crusty bread . Even though my taste has develloped somewhat, it is still a favourite.

Re: Maccayaks Outback "The Favorite"
Nice job Maccayak, looks great the fish bin is a great idea. Mordy, I've got my sounder mounted in the recess next to the right hand side handle. That puts it a bit behind where Maccayak's is. I've found that it interferes with my paddle stroke. I don't use the paddle much, but sometimes in very tig...
