There is a small Kayak Bass series here in Australia, but they tend to be held in Northern NSW and Southern QLD so normally its a bit far to travel for Vic fishos for a one day event. As for your Pro question, there's not enough money in the Bream and Bass kayak events for anyone to do it profession...

just be careful, it becomes an addiction quite quickly like the boys said its great fun and you meet some top blokes
