My yaks have been paddle, paddle, peddle, peddle and paddle in that purchase order. For fishing alone I still like the peddler's. But being out of a paddler the upper bod (which was never really in too good a shape) has lost a bit of strength without trolling the km's. I also enjoy ticking the paddl...

Next question, if either are set off what's your understanding of what actually happens. In worst case scenario, what's the maximum time delay a search has begun? (Noting ya may not be found at all, and/or the time it takes from finding you to being rescued needs to be added).

Just gauging PLB and EPIRB kayak fishing use on vyak. Feel free to explain ya reasoning more if ya want, with more of an interest in non users explaining the barrier(s).
